to further speak on this matter (hopefully you read my last message all of it and understand why it was so long, besides me being long-winded)they have gotten GERARD CHRISTOPHER from the 1980's SUPERBOY series he' sure he's a man by now. LOIS AND CLARK had potential and could have still been running bny if not for trying to take an icon and make him into a soap opera, so at first the MOONLIGHTING-ESQUE sexual tension made it cute and it had a few episodes that were good but alot of them were hokey after a while as a purist i didn't like the first few suits they had but they really lost me when they gave him red rainboots as part of the uniforms they were actually closer with the tie up boxing boots.then DEAN CAIN started to gain weight.then it really just went down hill. THE RETURN TO KRYPTON story arc was one of the best.LET TOM HAVE IT PLEASE,TOM PLEASE WANT IT. I AM A POOR GEEK (NOT ENOUGH MONEY TO BE A GGOD ONE)but i still have the passion to gain knowledge if not the finances.I HEREBY CALL UPON MY FELLOW GEEKS AND GEEKTRESSES NERDS AN NERDESSES TO STAND UP FOR GOOD COMICS BOOKS AND COMIC BOOK MOVIES AND GAMES AND TO TELL THEM WE WANT GOOD WRITERS IF YOU RUN OUT OF GOOD IDEAS THEN JUST BRING THE ACTUAL MANUSCRIPTS(THE COMICS THMESELVES)TO LIFE LOTS'O GOOD STORIES THERE. QUALITY OVER SEQUELS, GREAT PRODUCTION OVER GREAT PROFIT MARGINS,GREAT ACTORS OVER WHO'S HOT NOW(i.e. THE DEMISE OF THE BATMAN DYNASTY AND SUBSEQUENT REBIRTH)WE DON'T PAY MONEY TO WATCH EXERCISES IN SPECIAL,NO, WE PAY TO BE AMAZED NOT AT BAT-NIPPLES AND THONGS OR HOW MANY OTHER SUGGESTIVE THINGS YOU CAN DO TO A BAT-SUIT, NOT AT MERCHANDISING(WHY IN THE HELL DOES THS NEW SUPERMAN HAVE THE "CRAPPY"SYMBOL ON HIS BELT?!!!)I'LL TELL YOU WHY,MONEY, NOT STORYTELLING SELLS A MOVIE.MONEY IN THESE MOVIES ARE MADE ON THE BACK END IN HOW MUCH CRAP WITH THE SYMBOL YOU CAN SELL,NO RAMMED DOWN THE THROATS OF THOSE WHO ARE SO DESPERATE AND BLIND WITH FANDOM OR COLLECTORSHIP THAT THEY'LL BUY ANYTHING WITH THE FACE OF THEIR BELOVED HERO OR HEROINE WHILE UNBEKNOWNST TO THEM THEY'VE JUST REINFORCED THAT STEREOTYPE.TELLING THE STUDIOS THAT THEY CAN PUT OUT ABSOLUTE CRAP AND THEY'LL(THE FANS) LOVE IT.LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENED TO STAR WARS. THEY LOST THE ORIGINAL "GRIT" TO CATER TO FIVE YEAR OLDS(JAR-JAR BINKS ANYONE)WE CAN'T LET THEM DO THIS TO US.WE NEED HELP WE NEED TO SHOUT OUR FRUSTRATIONS TO SOMEONE POWERFUL,TO THE GODS OF WIZARD MAGAZINE,TO GURUS OF G-4TECHT.V.THE STUDIOS THEMSELVES,NO THE COMICS GODS THEMSELVES TO HAVE THEIR OWN WRITING SUPERVISORS TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF THE CHARACTERS WE LOVE AND REVERE NOT THE LICENSES THE GIVE THE STUDIOS A REASON TO MAKE MONEY.BOTTOM LINE. QUALITY STORYTELLING EQUALS MONEY.THE MATH FORMULA QUALITY=SEQUELS. A CRAPPY MOVIE THAT MAKES CRAPPY SEQUELS IS A PRETTY CRAPPY MOVIE. A GOOD CHARACTER BRAND THAT DESTROYS WHAT WE LOVE IN THE NAME OF PERPETUATING A LICENSE.A GOOD MOVIE FRANCHISE THE CONTINUES WITHOUT THE DIRECTOR THAT MADE THEM GOOD IN THE FIRST PLACE ALL IN THE NAME OF DEADLINES AND BOTTOM LINE IS A BAD MOVIE FRANCHISE AND WILL LOSE YOU MORE MONEY THAN YOU MADE WITH THE GOOD ONES(I.E.THE LAST TWO SUPERMAN MOVIES,THE LAST TWO BATMAN MOVIES,THE LAST BLADE WITH THE OVER PROFANE-OVER HOODIZED MAIN CHARACTER.THE SOON TO BE X-MEN 3 WITHOUT BRIAN SINGER)EVERYONE WHO WILL LISTEN THIS IS MY EMPASSIONED PLEA,STAND AND BE COUNTED,THEY WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE CRAP AS LONG AS WE PAY FOR CRAP.
