‘Justice League’ plot details, official logo and synopsis revealed by DC
By Jacob Siegal
On Tuesday morning, dozens of entertainment and film publications from around the web shared reports of their visits to the set of Justice League. Countless details and clarifications were uncovered, but we'll do our best to weed out the chaff and cut straight to the most important things we learned from the set visits.
First of all, Justice League is no longer a single story split into two parts. Rather, 2017's Justice League will serve as a standalone film with a beginning, a middle and an end, while the second film will start a new story.
We also know that the film will be lighter in tone than Batman v Superman, an inevitable development following the critical backlash to the dark, brooding prequel. Justice League will take place several months after the end of BvS, with much of the film focusing on Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince putting together a team.
You can read the full synopsis for the film below:
"Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions."
Although the synopsis doesn't reveal the "greater enemy," DC says that Steppenwolf will be on of the primary villains. That's not to say he will be the only baddie battling the Justice League, but he will play a major role.
Finally, it sounds like Ezra Miller's Flash will be featured heavily throughout the film, providing some much needed comic relief.
That's all for now, but you can see the official logo for the film at the top of this post. Oh, and here's what the Batmobile is going to look like in Justice League, which is currently scheduled to hit theaters on November 17th, 2017:
Justice League Batmobile
"Although Lex Luthor is your ultimate opponent, you will triumph over him, and when you show yourself to the world....it will be a different age than ours, Clark. A silver age of heroism...that will start when they look up into the sky at you...with hope for tomorrow. You will help everyone to embrace it."-Dr Fate
