The CW officially kicked off its DC Comics superhero universe in 2012 when Arrow premiered, but the world has since expanded to include Barry Allen’s (Grant Gustin) home of Central City in The Flash, and all of time and space with Legends of Tomorrow. Earlier this year it was additionally revealed that Supergirl – then airing on CBS – was part of the live-action DCTV world by means of the multiverse thanks to a cross-network crossover with The Flash.

Now, with Supergirl heading to The CW for season 2, and each of the other three DC Comics TV series having established their own corners of the universe, the network has a number of plans for further crossovers and comic book storylines. The Flash will kick off its third season by adapting the Flashpoint comic event, plus The CW has announced a four-show crossover in addition to a musical crossover between Supergirl and The Flash. I sure hope Supergirl moving over to the CW will get better. I do like that the CW is having a DC show four times a week. Supergirl Mondays, The Flash Tuesdays, Arrow Wednesdays, DC's Legends of Tomorrow Thursdays. Now that is freaking awesome!
