Superman is in my opinion the ultimate hero. Superman gives strength, hope, and courage to all who believe in him by always doing things the right way even if it's not the easy way. Christopher Reeves was an example of all of these and was, in my opinion, the best candidate to wear that honor bound, primary colored suit. Although I have not yet seen the Return of Boy Scout I have faith in Brandon Ruth in carrying the tradition of truth, justice, and the American way.

Thank for entering Aero.
One thing I forgot to mention to everybody, I learned from the last time I worked with Warner on a contest for V for Vendetta. They don't send out to PO Boxes for some reason. I'm not sure why. Maybe they can't send big posters to a PO Box. I'm just not sure. The mail isn't my area of expertise. So just make sure you all give me your physical mailing address when you enter the contest. thanks __________________ |

Ever since "Superman Returns" moved from being a rumor to an actual work in production, I've struggled with accepting another actor as Superman because Christopher Reeve embodied that character to me.
In seeing the trailers and reading interviews and seeing that this is more than a possible cash-cow for the studio, but a true labor of love; I can't wait for the movie to debut. |

| I was skeptical At first about the new suit and Brandon Routh as Superman/Clark Kent. Being an obsessed Smallville fan I would have loved to see Tom Welling in the role. The suit ant the actor are winning me over more and more everytime I see one of the trailers that have been released. Personally I'm wondering about Lois' son. In everything I've read I have never seen anyone say the kid belongs to James Marsden's character. I am wondering if the child is actually Superman's. In Superman 2 he and lois did make love and since Superman Returns is using the first 2 films as a vague history you never know. That's just me though. Anyway I just can't wait to see Superman on the big screen(My first time). | ||

| I was a little skeptical about the movie at first. I mean, in my opinion, not many actors have sucessfully pulled off both looking and acting like Superman and acting like the bumbling and clumsy Clark Kent. But then I read somewhere that when Brandon Routh met with the director, he spilled coffee all over the table. He thought he blew the meeting, but that's what landed the part. I now believe that Routh will do a fantastic job and i'm excited to see the movie! I can't wait. This will be the best yet! | ||

| All I can say is that the buzz is building here in Des Moines, Iowa. It was announced that we will get Superman Returns in our new IMAX theater. Oh, and if anyone who's in the area... maybe heading to Metropolis, IL, you should stop by Des Moines on Saturday for the 5th Annual Comic Book I-CON (www.iowacomicbookclub.org). Who knows? Ma and Pa Routh may show up! | ||

I'm confused, I thought this movie was supposed to pick up from where the first 1978 Superman film ended. I did not think it was keeping anything that happened in Superman II in the story. I don't know about the film, it has a lot of changes from the story I know (which I know happens as new people write). I'm kind of used to seeing Clark use his abilities without the suit now after watching Smallville for so long. We'll see I guess, I'm sure WB has a big money maker just waiting to start collecting with the film's release. __________________ The Bible is so powerful. It's not to be left on your shelf. This movie is gonna be great and the worse thing is that Lois is a mother but I think Tom Welling shoulda done Clark/Superman.
John Schneider is always #1 in my book!

| There are a number of reasons i am looking forward to Superman Returns and one of them is because of the actor they have chosen. As everyuone has said Brandon Routh looks like Christopher Reeve and from what I have seen in the trailers he will do just as good a job as Reeve | ||

| It's going to be hard for the public to see that brandon routh took the place of Christopher reeve. But as I see it the audience will surely love the actor. They chose great actors for the other roles. For example Kevin spacey does a perfect impresanation of gene hackman as lex luthor hes an excellent choice for the role. I belive it will be a well done film. I think the suit is emaculent. | ||

The fact that Tom Welling is not playing Superman will be one of the biggest setbacks for this movie in terms of box office numbers (they just lost all their female fan base).
The fact that Brandon whoever is playing Superman (I get nauseous even thinking about it) will be the number one reason this movie sucks and does much to tarnish the image of Superman embodied by Christopher Reeve. For those of you speculating on what kind of actor Brandon will be as Superman, let me drop the big fact stink bomb on that one. Brandon Routh is a very very very bad actor and that is a fact. I watched One Life to Live when he was on there playing "seth". My overwhelming reaction was, I don't know where the hell they got this guy, but they need to get him the hell off this show, now! I turned the channel whenever he came on. Watching him act, is the human equivalent of watching white paint drying, boring to say the least and bland as bland can be. He has no personality. Imagine my horror and shock some years later to see his face and his body draped in the Superman gear. My heart dropped. I,like many, hoped that Tom Welling would end up playing Superman. Not since Chris Reeve have I felt an actor more befitting of the role than Tom. I don't know the reason why he's not playing Superman, but bottom line, WB f*@ked up. Comparing the budget of making Smallville and the budget of making Superman Returns (Millions), the cost to WB for not using Tom Welling in this movie will be millions which is very interesting since hollywood is all about the benjamins, I can't see how they so obviously shot themselves in the foot with this one. Nevermind all the emotional angst they will cause legions of Superman fans. I will go see the movie, out of duty, but I already want my refund. |

| 8 years ago I was 28 and I've waiting for this movie for a long while, as for the actor playing the role I think as fans we all get a little caught up on purist issues yes the suit is different and the actor isn't who we expect but what is important is how the film turns out which is something non of us will know until we sit down in the theatre with our popcorn. I think recent comic book adaptation have been brilliant Spiderman, Batman even V for Vendetta (and that was very different from the comic book) lets get over our purist stances (me included) and leave our judgements until we walk out of the cinema we may be very supprised | ||

It has been 4 years since I have realized that i am/like SUPERMAN! From then on my life has never been the same. But it is so sad that, for quite sometime, SUPERMAN has been put in the background by many. However, the release of the this movie, SUPERMAN RETURNS, would turn it all around. It would be an eye opener to the people that SUPERMAN is still, and will be, the superhero of all time. This would redeem SUPERMAN and all its fans. Whether this movie will be a blockbuster or not, i dont care. I know that it would still deeply mark in the minds and hearts of many the legacy of superman. Consider it as a jumpstart. This is only the beginning. REMEMBER THAT!!!
this is job for... SUPERMAN |

With all the terror and hard times in the world, there is hardly anything that can bring a counrty together. Superman however, is an iconic mark that brings joy, and hope to this depressed world we live in. And, i believe, will bring us all closer. Not tremendously ofcourse, but just a little closer. We all must learn from Superman not to give up when the going is tough, and that we must rely on others, even if they aren't of the same species as us or care about us anymore...
I just cant wait for Superman Returns!!! Wednesday!!! |
