Guys check this out. It just came out the official finalized version of the Superman Returns logo. Looks pretty good. I think. What do you all think?

The 3-D logo looks cool here, but kinda wierd on the suit itself.
And SuperDude, what did the original look like? This is the only Superman Returns logo I've seen. |

| Well lastson I think he probably means the George Reeves version or the Chris Reeve version but maybe the very original way back in the 30's. | ||

There was another version without all the color added in.
Here's the original version for superman returns that was released. The space background was added. I think originally it had a complete black or white background. ![]() __________________ |

| I felt the same way about the new Batman movie. Even though the costume looked terrible, It was one of the best Bats movies ever. | ||

Not to be the negativist here, but I think the new emblem is a hideous hyper-contemporization of an otherwise classic symbol.
The suit itself is at best a huge disappointment and at worst a monstrosity. A key proportion in the Superman costume is the distance between the bottom edge of the belt and the bottom edge of the crotch. All color issues aside, the most blaring flaw in the Routh rendition is that this distance is about half what it should be. Sorry. I'm not usually this negative, but...ugh! That costume drives me nuts! If I had my way, the new Superman emblem would look something like this.

Nothing wrong with a little negative opionion. That just shows your thinking and not marching in step with every thing your told to think by the media.
Personally, even though I'm not too happy with the costume over all the logo looks pretty cool. The best I guess as far as logos go was the Superman movie logo. I hope the movie does the same kind of effects with the credits at the beginning of the new movie that they did with the original. I just hope the intro isn't quite as long though. __________________ |

Gee guys, I didn't think it was hideous. I prefer the old Christopher Reeve films, but I didn't think Returns was that bad. Flawed but not terrible. Definitely better than Superman 4. The plane scene rocked. Now if I was brought on as a consultant, Superman Returns would have had the biggest fight scene in the history of cinema at the end. Of course Singer didn't bother to hire me as a consultant. I'm going to have to fire my agent. __________________ |
