The Allies won WWII. It's not really an individual nation that won 'the war' but rather the combined group effort of all Allied Nations. To say that one single nation was the winner would be to show tremendous ignorance and disrespect to the sacrifices made by other allies ![]() __________________ All those things I can do. Let me explain Tim :
If the Germans had won the Battle of Britain it would have been all over. If it wasn't for us standing alone while our Allies declared neutrality we wouldn't be having this argument. We worked as a team to get the job done and in the end that is all that matters. I wish to commend the British spirit for holding off Germany in the Battle of Britain. Had they fallen, there was no way the US could have crossed the Atlantic to help fight the Germans in Europe. The US contribution ought not to be diminished either by many Brits. The US fought a two-front war on opposite ends of the earth and had to cross the two biggest oceans in order to achieve this goal. But it is also true that without all the war materials pouring from USA and Britain the Red Army would have suffered a whole lot more casualties, and many a battle would have been lost. The USSR should receive more credit from the Allies than it used to. But it is time that all the nations understood that alone they couldn't have stopped Hitler. It is their union that defeated the Nazis, a victory over the enemy of mankind. __________________ All those things I can do. All those powers. And I couldn't even save him.

Ok let's just put it this way lets assume your from Britian and your favorite character is Superdude who for years has been known to fight for Truth, Justice and the British way. Now all of a sudden fancy writers say becaue they don't agree with the current government or whatever their reasoning the next Superdude movie will not include the words "British way". Even though the words British way to you represent more than just a current government but the country itself, the people, your way of life, and it's history. Just a slogan that allows you to have a little feeling of pride.
Now wouldn't it make your blood boil just a little especially if you are like me and very fed up with political correctness. It just makes me want to run around shouting "God Bless America" with an American flag in one hand driving a 69 Dodge Charger with a rebel flag on top while tooting the horn. __________________ |

HO by the way, you are wrong, because I made that photo that you post for capedwonder!!! Oh sorry supersebas, I guess someone sent that to me in an email. They didn't mention that they didn't make it. I still don't know why that Phoenix guy started this. There isn't any "American Way" even on the pics that were on this post. He keeps messing with me though an I'll post 20 pages of Superman pictures with the American way and a wav sound file for every page with the old 50's American way theme on it. ![]() ![]() __________________ |

| Sebastian be hired to do a movie poster isn't too hard to imagine. I'd like to see him do a comic book. He could easily become the next Alex Ross. | ||
