I was hoping someone would bring up a world cup topic because I was wondering the name of the USA's coach is? If you think you lot were in a tough group then think about us Aussies because we had to come up against the no.1 ranked team in the world, Brazil, and we went down swinging(so to speak).

The head coach of the USA is Bruce Arena.... The Aussies did the job against croatia that was a great game superjon... but now yous have a tough 2nd round match against Italy... Harry Kewell and co will have to be at their best to get through that one __________________

Yes thank you for that Capone and does anyone have the website for the USA soccer team because I have a message for the coach because of what he said about the Australian team a couple of months ago. I won't put it here because it just doesn't belong here but it won't be pleasant, ok Tim. Also the majority of the Australian team plays in European clubs so Italy will be about the same Brazil. As long as we don't get a referee that is in awe of the players like we had against Brazil then anything is possible. I think he did the USA's last game and just shouldn't be there at all with how he conducts himself as a referee.

Ah tough break superjon, you must be gutted to lose a penalty like that so late in the game... the italians are masters at diving in the box, but to be fair i dont think the italian defender should have been sent off... another world cup game ruined by a card-happy referee... the socceroos were unlucky today __________________

I didn't see the game myself because it was on at 1 o'clock in the morning but by all reports from here and abroad the socceroos outplayed the Italians. Some of the Australian media interviewed some German locals who said that Italy didn't deserve to win the game because they were not the best team on the day. "The dive" as it is known in the world game is something that the governing body, FIFA, should do something about because it ruins any and all close games like that one. I mean take a look at any of the contact codes from around the world and you will see that sometimes a player will get hit hard and lay there for a while to try to regain his senses. Occasionally a player will "milk" the penalty from the ref but most of the time they have just been hit really hard by a legitimate tackle and are in a bit of pain. Soccer players might be apart of the "world" football code but that aspect of the game just annoys me. Now if you want to see some really hard hitting then find a channel that is covering the third State Of Origin game between New South Wales and Queensland on Wednesday July 5. If game 2 was anything to go by NSW is about to get beaten badly because Queensland has done a Marty McFly and gone back to the future with there style of play. I don't mind the NFL but your game is too stop-start for my liking I much prefer either rugby union or rugby league which are played at a fast and furious level especially the jewel in the crown of rugby league the 3 State Of Origin games played around this time of year.
