SupermanTV.net Forum / Superman / Lois and Clark / Hope For Dean Cain

Posted:  25 Apr 2005 20:25
What do you all think is there hope for Dean Cain to make a comeback like Teri Hatcher? I really liked the Lois and Clark show and I'm glad that Teri Hatcher is doing so well. I hope Dean Cain can get another tv series that's just as popular as well.

I sure hope so! Dean Cain is a great actor and he was super (pardon the pun ) on Lois and Clark. I can't wait for the first season DVD, which comes out on June 7, 2005. Lois and Clark - The Complete First Season

Lois and Clarke would have been perfect if it weren't for the Rental style superman costume, so I can't watch it as it annoys me EVERYTIME.

I don't mind the costume too much. At least they stayed true to the style and colors. Have you seen the new costume for the Superman Returns movie? Hideous!

Here is a picture of the new costume:

Here is an idea people how about they use Dean Cain in the role of Dr Virgil Swann now that Chris has died, afterall he is the only other notable actor to play Superman or maybe they could use him as Uncle Mike, Lois' Uncle from a Lois & Clark episode. They should have Gerard Christopher and John Haymes-Newton in the show somwhere aswell, now that would pay homage to all of them. I really liked Lois and Clark because it put a more human side to the Superman legend. The line said by Dean as Clark in the episode  "Tempus Anyone" summed up the show to a tee, which was "Clark is who I am, Superman is what can do."

I agree I love it when Smallville has former Superman actors on the show, and it's about time Dean Cain gets paid a little tribute. He's a great Superman actor. I like that Lois and Clark line you were referring to by the way. "Clark is who I am, and Superman is what I can do". Without Superman's human side he would be a boring character. It's his human side that let's us relate to the stories.

I would like to see Dean Cain do a big screen version of "The Greatest American Hero". It would show that he didn't take himself seriously in the role of superman and might break the so called "superman curse". I mean if they died his hair blonde and put him in the red suit with maybe George Clooney as Bill Maxwell then with right script it would be very funny.

I'd love to see that movie, but the GAH is sort of a cluxy nerd kind of guy. I'm not sure Dean could play a nerd. Even his Clark was kind of a cool guy.

Clooney is too liberal for Maxwell, but his voice might work. I think somebody who has a little bit of a comedic streak would be needed too. Too bad Clint Eastwood is getting so old. He can do comedy and action.

We should start a petition for a Greatest American Hero movie though. I love the idea!

Dean sure is a good actor too. I wish he could get something really cool going for him like Teri Hatcher.

An even better idea for a movie for Dean would be one that included Tom in a major supporting role. A funny cop movie like Lethal Weapon or Tango and Cash, hey? How about a sci-fi send up like Spaceballs?

Cool, I like it. Call it "Clark and Kent" or "Clark and Clark". "Tom and Dean the Movie"

I know Tim give their characters the same initials of C K and have them maybe intergalatic private investigators with movie set in the year 2050. I think with the right script it could be hilarious maybe get Ivan Reitman in on it.
C K Private Investigators
Charles Kane and Clint Kave.
How funny does that look for a title?

Very inventive. I wonder what warner bros would say?

I wonder where I can send the idea? Do you have any suggestions?

Have you tried the warner bros official site? That's the only place I can think of.
