i want him to fly all the time

Yes it would be cool if he started flying. Last season the flying sequences were better than the Matrix.

I want to know whats going to happen to Clark and Lana, are they going to be together at last and will she find out about Clark and how will she react..

Clark and Lana are supposed to be dating this year. However comic book history shows Superman marries Lois Lane. Seems like some stories have shown Lana Lang to know Clark's secret. For some reason I'm not sure about that at the moment.

Tim, I was womdering at what age do they have Clark flying in the Superboy comics? If I remember correctly in Lois and Clark he said he had been flying since high school and Smallville is following a similar story vein to Lois and Clark. So I find it strange that the power of flight wasn't one of his first powers to come to the fore. I mean I think it would have been a good way to have started the final episode of season one because it is about to start season five and he is only just flying now. ????

Well originally, way back when there was still a Superboy in Superman's origin Clark was flying as a baby. In the 1980's revamp of Superman's origin by John Byrne (Man of Steel mini series number one ) Clark finds out he can fly before Pa Kent even reveals the existence of his space ship to Clark. This happens before he graduates from high school.

I guess Smallville is sort of mixing the story up a little to keep us guessing.

I was wondering what other superheroes they will bring through the little town of Smallville. We have had Kara/Supergirl, well sort of anyhow, and Barry Allen as a 12 or 13 year old. I know we are getting Aquaman in the up coming season and in the DVD box sets Miles and Alfred have said they wanted to bring through Bruce Wayne/Batman which would be such an easy storyline to write. They even said they were thinking of bringing Diana Prince/Wonder Woman through. I think they should use the whole kryptonite exposure thing and create the Wonder Twins by using exposure to both red and green kryptonite. Now that would be a great episode to watch.

Yeah, it would be pretty funny too. I can just see the look on Clark's face to hear Wonder Twins Powers activate!

It won't happen I bet, but the Bruce Wayne guest appearance would really make for a good episode too. Too bad we can't see any Marvel characters in Smallville. I would like to see Peter Parker.

If i remember correctly in lois & clark they said clark learned to fly when he was 18 yrs so this season he should be able to fly permantly.
Posted:  22 Aug 2005 06:59
Actually, in a Lois & Clark Episode, Martha Kent reveals that Clark Kent didn't learn to fly until he was 18. In the Christopher Reeve Movies, Clark never flies, only Superman. But, if the Smallville producers follow the Lois & Clark theme, then he should fly in the 5th Season.

Cool, I didn't know that MySuperman. I was going on the comic book history. The Superman story keeps changing and changing.

Lois and clark was like a soap opera,  I don't think they will follow the lois and clark theme because superman was effected by kryptonite for the first time in that series, and he was like 20-30 something, and they were suprised and didn't know what was going on, in smallville he gets subjected to it a lot. there is one plot error.  I remember watching a character bio on T.V. channel 13 here, and the actor who plays clark says he woudl hate the idea of having him fly,  it is suppossed to revolve around clark, and not his powers, if you give him all of his powers now then the show will be about superman more so than clark. Those were his words not mine,  even so just because he is the actor, it doesn't make him the director, and they still might make him fly.  Personally I am fine witiht he superspeed,  I am fine with him not being completely super yet, I woudl assume if he does fly it would be near the very last episodes though.

Think about it w0nd, Lois and Clark was as much like detective stories as much as a soap opera because they always had strange little puzzles to figure out. I personally think that was one of the better parts of the show. If I understand Miles Millar, Alfred Gough and crew well enough with their story writing they will have him flying at least once per episode to get the audience and Clark(Tom) used to the seeing him with that power. I think the suit and him living in Metropolis make him Superman not his powers. With the power of flight coming through this season he is only a couple powers from full strength anyhow.

well bye the end of fourth season we see clark transported to a tundra or north or south pole to form fortrese of solitude so he cant just run back he'll have to fly back to smallville
Posted:  26 Aug 2005 18:31
like i said I wasn't the one who said I wouldn't like to see clark fly, Tom did.  And I only brought up lois and clark because someone said "if the Smallville producers follow the Lois & Clark theme, then he should fly in the 5th Season. "
Posted:  26 Aug 2005 22:57
i never said i didn't want to see him fly. I HOPE he fly's in season 5
