if superman existed, what would he think of the state of our planet? would he support bush? would he support isreal? would he be happy with the way we treat the environment? would he be happy with the way animals are treated in slaughter houses? would he support gay marriage and adoption? would he be pro choice or pro life? would he support stem cell research? would he support religions? just wondering what everybodies opinion is?

Well I'm not sure it would matter hypothetically what Superman would think of us. You have to remember (pretending supes was real) that Superman is a man. Just a man gifted with extraordinary powers. If he did anything else than vote when it came to political arguments he would be overstepping his bounds unless of course the President asked him to do something. If it didn't go against his basic morality I think old Supes would do whatever a Prez would ask him to do by the way.
What people tend to forget, and this is the main reason Superman is so good. Is that he is basically a small town farm boy with super powers. If you want to know what Supes would think. Go do a poll with your average people from small towns across America. See what they think and you would probably have a pretty good idea.
Remember Superman is way too confident to worry about being politically correct. Would you care what your average high minded city boy thought of you if you could lift a mountain over your shoulder? You would probably just go with the upbringing and culture you were raised in. He wasn't raised in Metropolis after all. __________________
i think one of the best lines in superman is when jor-el tells him that it is forbidden for him to change human history and to instead let his leadership spur others to it. i guess i should rephrase my question and say do you think we would have these problems if there was an actual superman?
