Christopher
Reeve perhaps the most loved actor to portray the Man of Steel
starred in four Superman movies in the 1970's and
1980's. After suffering a terrible horse riding accident
leaving him paralyzed, he refused to give up and became a
spokesman for spinal cord injury research. His movies were the
ones that made us believe a man could fly and helped usher in
the time of blockbuster special effects movies.
