Noel Neill was the first Lois on screen playing with Kirk Alyn in the movie serials before replacing Phyllis Coates on the Adventures of Superman with George Reeves. She got a brief cameo as Lois Lanes mother on the Superman movie, and she guest starred on the 1980's Superboy tv series with fellow Superman star Jack Larson.
